A Message from the Director
The Lamar Soutter Library will be re-opening its doors on Monday, August 3, at 8:00 a.m. We are excited to be opening the Library space for your study needs. You will see that the renovation project that started back in August 2019 is now complete; be sure to visit the 2nd and 3rd floors. You will also be delighted to see that we are now offering free printing and wireless charging devices for self-checkout.
The Lamar Soutter Library’s physical space will be closed Tuesday, April 7 at 5 p.m. until further notice.
During this time there will be no access to the library’s physical space via card access. We apologize for the inconvenience.
As of 6:00 p.m. on March 13, 2020, the Lamar Soutter Library’s Service Desk is temporarily closing as part of the University’s request that non-essential staff work remotely until April 6, 2020. Our guiding principle is to support our students, faculty, staff, researchers, and clinicians, while protecting the health of our community. We will continue to be flexible and in constant review of how our information services are provided. Library space and resources can be accessed 24/7 with a valid UMMS/UMMHC id and a proxy account.
