Recognizing the demand for study space and the popularity of the Library study carrels, the Lamar Soutter Library has set aside all study carrels on the 2nd and 3rd floors for individual student use. Reservations for a study carrel need to be made through the online, self-service reservation system.

All SOM, GSN, and GSBS students are eligible to reserve a carrel. You will need to submit your name and UMMS email address to complete the reservation. You will automatically receive a confirmation email upon finalizing your reservation.

• Single carrels can be reserved for up to 6 hours at a time
• You can reserve a carrel up to 5 days in advance
• Reservations are limited to 40 hours per week
• Keys will not be distributed

Please be mindful of the needs of your peers. Reserve only the hours that you need. If you do not need your remaining hours, you can release the reservation.
