Region 7 of the Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM) hosted at the UMass Chan Medical School is the recipient of an award (3UG4LM012347-06) to serve as the NNLM National Center for Data Services (NCDS) 2021-2026.

The Library is pleased to announce the publication of our FY 2021 Annual Report.

The Lamar Soutter Library’s (LSL) staff is excited to welcome you to the campus of UMass Medical School.

Starting July 2021, the three skylights situated above the main seating section of the Library (curved couch, large tables, and outside the computer classroom) will be replaced. Scaffolding and safety barriers will be installed in July, and work is expected to continue into mid-August.

This year has been more than any of us has bargained for, and we have collectively experienced many highs and lows. Introducing 2020 Hindsight, a creative space developed by Bronwyn Wada-Gill (SOM '22) and Megan Hansen (SOM '22) to reflect on the year 2020.

As of November 1, 2020, the Lamar Soutter Library has discontinued the live “Ask a Librarian” chat feature. But never fear! Your librarians are still available to answer your questions!

Downloading PDFs from the Library's website just got easier! A new feature has been added to the Library website. In the tabbed search box at the top of the home page you can find the "Get PDF!" tab. Enter a DOI or a PMID and in just a couple of clicks you can retrieve the PDF if it's available.
