What an Altmetric score! “Remdesivir for the Treatment of COVID-19 - Preliminary Report" takes the lead with the highest Altmetric score at UMass Medical School! Congratulations to Dr. Robert Finberg and his co-authors!

Altmetric iconBut what is an Altmetric score and what does that colorful donut mean? The score is a weighted count of the attention an article has received online, such as in social media, in policy documents, in the news, and more. The more colors in the donut, and the higher the score, the wider the influence of the article. As of September 8, Dr. Finberg’s article, written in conjunction with the Adaptive Covid-19 Treatment Trial (ACTT-1) Study Group and published in The New England Journal of Medicine, had been mentioned 405 times by news outlets, included in 4 policy sources, and tweeted about more than 8,700 times.
