You are invited to join the Lamar Soutter Library, Diversity & Inclusion Office, and Crista Johnson-Agbakwu, MD, Executive Director of the UMass Chan Medical School Collaborative in Health Equity, for her talk on:

“Advancing Maternal Health Equity Among Migrant Communities”

Thursday April 6th, 1-2 p.m. in the ASC Cube & also via Zoom

This event is planned in conjunction with a National Library of Medicine traveling exhibit that is hosted in the Lamar Soutter Library until April 22nd.

LSL Artist-in-Residence Series Presents: Community: Student Photographs

Our new Artist-in-Residence Series exhibit, "Community: Student Photographs," is on display now through April 21st.

The pieces in the exhibit were created by UMass Chan students and curated by members of the UMass Chan Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS). GHHS is a national organization dedicated to supporting humanism within the practice of medicine. The UMass Chan chapter of GHHS created a photography competition to collect art from UMass Chan community members as a way of exploring the various definitions of community.

R Café March Gathering

The next R Café gathering will take place on Friday, March 24 from 12-1pm on Zoom. Registration is now open.

Curious about R and would like to learn more? Have you started learning R and would like to meet other R users at UMass Chan? You're invited to the UMass Chan R Café! During these gatherings, there will be presentations on specific R libraries, tools, and concepts and time to work on your own projects and ask questions of the group. No prior experience with R required.

There will be a high level of noise in the Library beginning on Wednesday, March 1 ending by Thursday, March 2 at 8:00 a.m. Headphones and earplugs are available at the Library Service Point on the 1st floor.
