The Worcester District Medical Society and the Lamar Soutter Library present the Meet the Author series on Thursday, May 9 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the Lazare Auditorium, UMass Chan Medical School.
The Library Service desk will be closed for the Patriots' Day holiday on Monday, April 15, 2024.
Eligible UMass Chan/UMMHC badge access only to access the library (24/7). At this time the library is not open to members of the public.

The library will be hosting two Introduction to R and R Studio workshops this month as part of the Library Seminar Series for Researchers.
Online – Friday, April 26, 12-1:30pm on Zoom
In-person – Tuesday, April 30, 12-1:30pm in Goff Room 309 B & C
The next R Café gathering will take place on April 24 from 12-1pm in AS7-2072. RSVP to let us know how much coffee and cookies to bring.
Due to the winter storm, the Library Service desk is closed today, April 4, 2024. Librarians will be working remotely and can be reached using the Ask a Librarian service.

Please join Dr. Richard Berlin and awardees in celebrating the 20th Annual Berlin Prize for Creative Writing Award ceremony on Tuesday, March 26, from 6-8 p.m. in the Faculty Conference Room or on Zoom. Light refreshments will be served.

Mark your calendars for the next installment of Med Moth, happening this week on Wednesday, March 20th at 6:30 p.m. in the Albert Sherman Center Multi-Purpose Room (Cafeteria)! Med Moth is an event based on The Moth Story Hour where 6-8 members of the UMass Chan Community (SOM, GSN, GSBS, and Baystate) share stories for 5-10 minutes each. Each talk is about the speaker's journey into medicine, meaningful patient encounters, or other experiences that have shaped their personal or professional identity in health care.
In observance of Women's History Month, the Library is exhibiting selections from its collection. The list of e-books and print books is available at https://libraryguides.umassmed.edu/book-displays/womenshistory24. Print books are on display throughout the first floor of the Library.
