On Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. in the Lazare Auditorium (S1-607), UMass Chan Medical School, you are invited to come and engage with longtime UMass Chan faculty member Lucy Candib, and her co-author Will Miller around their book Family Doctors Say Goodbye.
This will be an interactive discussion with the authors about transitions in medicine and how one eventually winds down a career.
Curious about the art exhibit in the library? You’re invited to the Opening Reception of Science Illuminated: An artistic exploration, an Artist-in-Residence series exhibit by the Biochemistry & Molecular Biotechnology Department.
Our Library Staff will begin to display our various posters and other scholarly works by the printers in the Library. First in the rotation is from our Research & Scholarly Communication Librarians: Sally Gore, Lisa Palmer, Tess Grynoch, and Leah Honor. “Research output of Morningside Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences faculty: A visual review” will be on display for the next few weeks.
The Library’s first floor Computer Classroom will be closed, Monday, February 26, 2024, for hardware and software upgrades. Noise from necessary drilling will be kept to a minimum. Please remember that the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Library are available for studying.
Our new Artist-in-Residence exhibit, “Science Illuminated: An Artistic Exploration” is on display in the Lamar Soutter Library now through April 2024.
Due to tomorrow's expected snowstorm, the Library Service desk will be closed Tuesday, February 13, 2024. Librarians will be working remotely and can be reached using the Ask a Librarian service.
Eligible UMass Chan/UMMHC badge access only to enter the Library (24/7). At this time the Library is not open to members of the public.
In observance of the Gold Humanism Honor Society's Solidarity Week (Feb. 12-16), the Library is hosting a book display and a resource guide.
Come to the Lamar Soutter Library this Monday, February 12th at 5:00 p.m. and join the Gold Humanism Honor Society in creating cards with meaningful messages for patients. Refreshments and snacks will be provided, and stick around for the Unsolved Pathologies Coffee House event starting at 6:00 p.m.
