Effective October 31, 2022, the Library will be open Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. The Library will remain closed Saturday and Sunday. Library doors will close 15 minutes prior to closing time.
Eligible UMass Chan/UMMHC badge access only to enter the library (24/7). At this time the library is not open to members of the public. If your badge is not working after hours, please contact the Campus Police at 508-856-3296.
Lamar Soutter Library welcomes Melissa Augustine as the newest member of the Education and Clinical Services Department. She will work not only with students, faculty, and clinicians, but she will also work closely with the Diversity and Inclusion Office and the Office of Health Equity on DEI initiatives.
Melissa brings a unique set of skills to the library. She has significant clinical experience, having worked for several years as a registered nurse. Combined with library skills and a passion for DEI, Melissa is sure to be a great asset to all at UMass Chan and UMass Memorial.

Join us for the next Med Moth on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 5:30 pm in the Albert Sherman Center Multipurpose Room and on Zoom. Listen to stories told by UMass Chan students, faculty, and staff and enjoy some light refreshments.

The Library is featuring another book display, "Cultural Competency & Clinical Care," a collection that emphasizes the necessity for understanding and appreciation of culture differences. Please see the full list of titles in the display.
