The UMMS Chapter of Gold Humanism Honor Society is having a Celebration of Creativity writing contest highlighting examples of humanism in medicine, and all within the UMMS community are welcome to submit!
As part of the Class of 2024’s initiative to make the class show more inclusive and representative of more student talent, we welcome you all to the first annual Class Show 2022 Art Exhibit. SOM students of all years have submitted paintings, drawings, poems, and photos for presentation in our art show. These pieces – some simple doodles and others intricate designs – represent artistic endeavors undertaken by students at some point during their medical school career.
The Lamar Soutter Library is excited to participate in UMass Chan Cares: Wellness Week 2021, happening October 25-29.
The Office of Student Life (OSL) will be hosting a Constitution Day event on 9/16/21 from 1PM to 2PM in the Sherman Center MPR – West room. They will be serving apple pie, asking Constitution trivia questions, and giving out pocket Constitution books. Brush up on your knowledge of the Constitution by going to the National Archives. Stop by for some pie and test your Constitution knowledge!

The HiM Committee of Lamar Soutter Library and Dr. Richard Berlin invite you to the award ceremony and readings of poetry and creative writings by fellow UMMS medical, nursing, doctoral students, residents, and Fellows. The Gerald F. Berlin Creative Writing Award is funded by a donation from Richard M. Berlin, MD, a poet, and Instructor in Psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
