Program Description

Seva works to restore vision and prevent blindness, with the hope that their efforts will help break cycles of poverty in underserved communities. Sight Program volunteers help build capacity for improved eye care services, perform cataract surgeries, and provide basic eye care.

Types of Opportunities

  • Seva is looking for volunteers with experience in the following fields: ophthalmology, healthcare profession, marketing/communication, management training, and business development consulting
  • Volunteers are need to assist in the following: help train local staff to improve eye care programs and healthcare delivery, perform surgeries, and conduct eye exams

Expected Costs

  • All costs covered by the volunteer (both airfare and in country costs including lodging, transportation, and food)
