The Journal of Parent and Family Mental Health, an open access e-journal highlighting activities and innovations specific to adults and children with lived experience of parental mental illness, has published its first article: “Paternal Postpartum Depression.”

Issues will cover a range of topics including new and ongoing research, intervention development, evaluation, literature reviews, policy initiatives, and first person accounts. This e-journal was developed by a group of international researchers and change agents committed to enhancing the lives of families living with parental mental illness. It is published by the Systems and Psychosocial Advances Research Center (SPARC), Department of Psychiatry, University of Massachusetts Medical School in collaboration with the medical school’s Lamar Soutter Library through its eScholarship@UMMS publishing and repository system. The publication of the Journal of Parent and Family Mental Health aligns with the Library’s mission to help UMMS faculty and students create and disseminate scholarly content directly to users, making it openly accessible to the world.
