UMMS'Journal of Global Radiology (JGR) is pleased to announce that JGR has been accepted into the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). DOAJ is the largest and most well-known service for identifying high-quality, peer-reviewed open access research journals and the articles published within them.

Launched in 2015, JGR documents and studies issues surrounding global access to and delivery of medical imaging services, with a focus on low-income or resource-poor regions. The journal is published by UMMS’ Department of Radiology in collaboration with the Lamar Soutter Library through its eScholarship@UMMS repository and publishing system. This collaboration aligns with the Library’s mission to help UMMS faculty and students create and disseminate scholarly content directly to users, making it openly accessible to the world.

Being accepted into DOAJ is an important step for JGR to achieve the goal of being indexed in leading databases to maximize the visibility, usage and impact of articles published in the journal. All of JGR’s articles are now indexed in DOAJ at https://doaj.org/toc/2372-8418.
