Himalayan Healthcare is a small organization that promotes sustainable development programs, enabling people in Nepal to be self-sufficient. It provides primary health care, community education, and income generation programs to people living in remote and impoverished regions of Nepal.

Types of Opportunities

  • Medical treks for physicians, dentists, nurses, and other health workers, last about 2 weeks - teams begin backpacking into rural areas, and set up medical or dental camps for several days, treating villagers from surrounding areas
  • Healthcare professionals can volunteer at Ilam community hospital; there is especially need for help in family practice, OB-GYN, pediatrics, internal medicine, infectious disease, and general surgery, as well as dentistry and physiotherapy.
