On Exhibit through December 31, 2019

The Remembrances Quilt is a testament to the generosity of donor families and a tribute to their loved ones, whose life and death the quilt commemorates. The quilt is composed of squares of fabric individually designed and created by family members/friends.

There are over 113,000 men women and children on the National Transplant waiting list as of July 2019. Twenty people die each day waiting for a transplant – every ten minutes another person is added to that list, and 95% of adults support organ donation, but only 58% are actually signed up as donors. *

Organ donation is a legacy of life and giving so that others in need may live. For many people, receiving a donation is a matter of life and death. And for others, lives can be improved through tissue and cornea donations helping them see better and live better.

New England Donor Services coordinates organ and tissue donation and serves thousands of donor families each year who have generously made the decision to donate and honors the wishes of those who registered as donors and gave the gift of life.
