Join us for an opening reception on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 5:00 pm first floor of the library.

“I take pictures of the inside of people's heads for a living; I take pictures of the outside world for fun”, states David Kennedy, PhD, Director of Neuroinformatics and Co-director of CANDI, Department of Psychiatry, UMMS.

Dr. Kennedy’s exhibit, titled Depths of Field is a collection of photography that spans six continents and includes images of landscape, neon, Animalia, and flora. Depths of FieldEach theme captures depth of field (where near and far objects appear sharp), a tool Dr. Kennedy uses “to manipulate the way the photograph is captured and perceived”.

Proceeds from the sale of prints (and note card versions) “will support Autism Speaks, so that the outside can help to mend the inside.”

Depths of Field will be on exhibit April 1 – May 31, 2016.
