Celebrating Wellness Week!
In celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month, the Office of Well-Being has organized a week for free wellness activities and programming!
Monday, May 18
*Sign up for an upcoming volunteer opportunity through the Office of Community and Government Relations
*Grab a Wellness Week Check List (some will be available in the library). Complete at least 5 items by Friday, May 22 and be entered to win an OWB Swag Bag!
*All week long, non-members of the Fitness Center can attend free fitness classes! (Please arrive early to sign a waiver before class).
Tuesday, May 19
*Stop by the library for free coffee and tea, crafts, book swap, games, puzzles, connection and a Therapy Dog visit from Ginger!
*Time and Location: 11-1 p.m. in the Lamar Soutter Library - Medical School Building, 1st floor
Wednesday, May 20
*Outdoor Community Walk Around Campus and a Therapy Dog visit from Maggie!
*Community Walk: 11:30-12 p.m. Meet in the Albert Sherman Center, MPR East, First Floor. The walk will take place outdoors around Quad 1.
*Therapy Dog: 11-1 p.m. in the Albert Sherman Center, First Floor
Thursday, May 21
*Desk Stretches/Chair Yoga, Self-Care Workshop/Presentation, and Therapy Dog visit from Sprite!
*Time and Location:
*Desk Stretches/Chair Yoga: 11-11:30 a.m. and 11:30-12 p.m. in the Albert Sherman Center, MPR-East, First Floor
*Therapy Dog: 11-1 p.m. in the Albert Sherman Center, First Floor
*Self-Care Workshop - The Art of Self-Care: Tools for Everyday Wellness: 12-1 p.m. in the Albert Sherman Center, MPR East, First Floor.
Friday, May 22
*Complete and check off at least 5 items on your Wellness Week Check List.
*Email a picture of your updated list to OWB@umassmed.edu and be entered to win an OWB Swag Bag!
