Lamar Soutter's Later Years

Small Bullet 1979: Dr. Soutter traveled to East Tennessee State University to act as a consultant in the development of the Quillen College of Medicine established there in 1972.

Small Bullet 1989: The Easter Seals Society honored Dr. Soutter as Volunteer of the Year for his 25 years of service to the organization.

Small Bullet February 1996: Governor William F. Weld issued a proclamation recognizing the life and contributions of Dr. Soutter.

Small Bullet October 12, 1996: Dr. Lamar Soutter died in Concord, Massachusetts at the age of 87 years. He was eulogized at his memorial service in November 1996 by Dr. H. Brownell Wheeler, his longtime friend and colleague.
