New NIH Data Management and Sharing Plan Format Announced

NIH DMSP requirements are changing - have you seen the latest updates?
Announced Feb. 25, 2026 new elements for NIH Data Management and Sharing Plans will be required for all submissions after May 25, 2026. The previous six elements with twelve total subsections will be replaced with a simplified set of seven elements including a required table. Many elements will now only require a YES/NO response to increase efficiency and minimize applicant burden.

Templates are expected soon, and library training and materials will be updated as more information is released.
