R workshops continue in May with this month's workshop focusing on data visualization with ggplot2. Register for the online workshop on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 from 12-1pm.

During this hands-on workshop, participants will learn tips and tricks for creating effective charts in R and create basic charts in R using the ggplot2 package. The workshop will cover best practices for chart layout, color choices, labeling, and visualizing data responsibly. All experience levels with R are welcome. You will need to download R and RStudio before the workshop, please follow Library Carpentry’s instructions, If you are using a UMass Chan computer, you will need to contact IT for administrative permissions to download RStudio. Please do not hesitate to reach out to the instructor, Tess Grynoch,, for assistance with the download. She will also be available 30 minutes prior to the workshop to troubleshoot the downloads.
