Always wanted to learn R to make your research more reproducible but did not know where to start? This hands-on workshop is designed for those who have never coded in R before or could use a refresher of the basics. The workshop will cover math operations, comparison operators, R vectors, variable creation, print statements, reading files into and writing files from R, dataframe basics, and creating basic charts. You will need to download R and RStudio before the workshop, please follow Library Carpentry’s instructions, https://librarycarpentry.org/lc-r/. If you are using a UMass Chan computer, you will need to contact IT for administrative permissions to download RStudio. Please do not hesitate to reach out to the instructor, Tess Grynoch, tess.grynoch@umassmed.edu, for assistance with the download.
