The Lamar Soutter Library’s physical space will be closed Tuesday, April 7 at 5 p.m. until further notice.

During this time there will be no access to the library’s physical space via card access. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Per the directions of the University, the library staff will continue to work remotely until May 4, 2020. Our guiding principle is to support our students, faculty, staff, researchers, and clinicians, while protecting the health of our community.

As of 6:00 p.m. on March 13, 2020, the Lamar Soutter Library’s Service Desk is temporarily closing as part of the University’s request that non-essential staff work remotely until April 6, 2020.

The library will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on President's Day, Monday, February 17, 2020.

The library is accessible 24/7 for eligible patrons using their ID badge.

Streams of Consciousness, the literary and photography journal of UMass Medical School, is now accepting submissions from students, staff, and patients of UMass Medical School and UMass Medical C

NLM has rolled out a new and improved version of PubMed! You may have noticed banners on PubMed directing you to check out the new interface.

The library will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 20, 2020.

Please note that the library 1st and 2nd floor areas where electrical work occurred will be patched and painted by Facilities on January 14-15, 2020.

On Exhibit January 2 – February 27, 2020

Beginning tomorrow, December 12, 2019 through January 3, 2020, there will be electrical work happening on the 1st and 2nd floors of the library. This work includes: cordoning off of work areas, drilling, plastering, dust, etc.

The library will resume normal operating hours on Tuesday, December 3 at 7:30 am. Please check the library website for updates to this message. The library is always accessible 24/7 to eligible faculty, staff, and students.

An updated version of PubMed is now available at https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/. The new PubMed will become the default in spring 2020 and will ultimately replace the legacy version.
