Our inaugural celebration on October 13, 2009, focused on the founding and first decade of the School of Medicine. This luncheon and panel event included significant figures from the school's founding years as well as current faculty representing education, research, and clinical care. The panel discussion was moderated by John L. Sullivan, M.D., Vice Provost for Research. Panelists included H. Brownell Wheeler, M.D., founding Chair of Surgery and Professor Emeritus; J. Barry Hanshaw, Professor of Pediatrics and Dean Emeritus; H. Maurice Goodman, PhD, Professor Emeritus; Allan Jacobson, PhD; Susan B. Gagliardi, PhD, Department of Cell Biology; and Linda Pape, M.D., Professor, Cardiovascular Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine.
