Streams of Consciousness, an open access literary e-journal featuring works of poetry, prose, and photography by members of the UMass Medical School community, has published its first issue.
Originally conceptualized as a UMass Medical School Capstone project, Streams of Consciousness is a collaborative project between Tom Ford (SOM ’18), William Bernard Reid-Varley (PGY-2, Psychiatry), and Colin Whitworth (PGY-2, Psychiatry) that aims to allow students, residents, faculty, and other members of the UMass Medical School community to channel their experiences through works of poetry, prose, and photography.
The journal is published in collaboration with the medical school’s Lamar Soutter Library through its eScholarship@UMMS publishing and repository system. The publication of Streams of Consciousness aligns with the Library’s mission to help UMMS faculty and students create and disseminate scholarly content directly to users, making it openly accessible to the world.
