Sally Gore, MS, MS LIS, is the Acting Head of Research and Scholarly Communications for the Library. In this role, she oversees and supports the Library's efforts towards outreach to the UMMS research community, as well as the development and implementation of services related to scholarly communications in the sciences. Prior to this, she served as a reference librarian, providing reference instruction and research assistance for faculty, students and staff of UMMS. Sally earned her graduate degree in Library and Information Science from Syracuse University and an MS in Exercise Physiology from Ithaca College. Sally has a great fondness for school, evidenced by the fact that she also has a BS in exercise physiology from the University of Southern Maine, a divinity degree from Southern Seminary (Kentucky), and a BA from James Madison University (Virginia). Outside of work in the Library, Sally is a clinical exercise physiologist, a tutor for Literacy Volunteers of Greater Worcester, a book, film and music lover, a mandolinist, and an aspiring writer.Areas of Interest and Expertise
