Departmental Liaisons

Liaison librarians serve the faculty, students and staff of UMass Medical School and clinical affiliations by sharing information about library collections, services, department-specific resources, and by supporting the teaching, clinical, and research needs of each department.

Current Liaison Assignments

If your department would like a librarian assigned to be a liaison, contact Len Levin,
Head, Education and Clinical Services, at 508-856-6028.

House Librarians

A central component of the new UMMS Learner-centered Integrated Curriculum (LInC) is the assignment of each School of Medicine student into one of five learning communities or "houses". In this environment small-group learning, career development and mentoring will occur. In addition to house leaders and faculty advisors/mentors, each house has been assigned a librarian who will help students develop life-long skills at finding and interpreting high quality and Evidence-Based medical information.
