Dear Dr. Leszczynski
I would like to recognize and thank you and your MBL Team for the outstanding work and superior dedication that you exhibited in answering the Nation’s call following the events of September 11, 2001. The MBL Team developed and implemented a concise strategy to manufacture Vaccinia Immune Globulin-Intravenous (VIG-IV). In September 2002, the request from the Department of Defense to expedite VIG-IV production was a challenge that MBL was more than willing to undertake and demonstrated this commitment by putting aside other business obligations to support America’s needs.
MBL has demonstrated time and again that they are willing to support our Nation when called upon. The dedication and quality of your staff is readily apparent. In this time of uncertainty, your company has done a great service to all Americans and will long be remembered as one of America’s finest.
Sincerely,
Stephen V. Reeves
Brigadier General, USA
Program Executive Officer for Chemical & Biological Defense
