Nationally, she has worked on special projects for VA medical libraries she has taken a lead in adopting innovative technology and has been willing to share expertise with her colleagues. Melda was a key organizer of the technology fair which was held at VA-Togus last year. Patty Kahn, outgoing HSLIC chair, presented an engraved bowl to Melda at the semi-annual meeting held at Lewiston-Auburn College. Melda noted that May 17 also marked her 25th year at Togus On June 13, Melda was presented a plaque at the Maine Hospital Association's Professional Recognition Luncheon. HSLIC members Nancy Greenier, Sue Jagels and Barbara Harness attended the event with Melda. Eight professionals were recognized for their achievements before a capacity crowd. We were proud to have Melda be our first recipient of this honor.
