Lucinda (Cindy) White
Cindy White started her library career at the University of Minnesota, followed by a position at Northern Arizona University library in Flagstaff, AZ.
After moving to Maine, she worked at the University of Maine in Orono as a reference librarian. In the early nineties, she filled a position at Eastern Maine Medical Center as the ILL/reference librarian. She transitioned into Director of Hadley Parrot Health Science Library, beginning in the summer of 2008.
Through all her years in Maine, Cindy has been and is an active and engaged member of our professional community. She has served in various Board positions in HSLIC, including Region Representative, Resource Sharing, Chair, and Past-Chair. She has also been very active on several NAHSL Conference committees, filling such posts as webmaster and AV coordinator, serving on the HSLIC board and NAHSL conference planning committees.
She is an advocate for her library and her colleagues at EMMC – always innovating ways to expand services and resources to her institution, even when making difficult budget choices.
Cindy does it all with a positive attitude and a spirit of fun and creativity.
